January 25, 200520 yr Author search this in google, "server -example -sample -q3 -quake filetype:cfg" then go to http://www.gametiger.com/search?server= and search the hostname in the server.cfg that you find get hlsw from hlsw.net and put the ip and test the rcon password it'll take you some time to find a working one, i was lucky to find one in the first 3 pages of the search.

Thx. server.cfg is the default server config for all cs servers probably hl2 dm but im not sure since i never played/installed hl2 dm. so basically when you get server.cfg you wont get the ip of the server, but you'd probably get the hostname like in the one i found www3.sympatico.ca/jvoros1/server.cfg it was hostname "TombstonE" sv_region 255 rcon_password hank mp_timelimit 46 mp_friendlyfire 1 mp_tkpunish 1 bot_quota 5 bot_join_after_player 0 heartbeat log 1 this means that the server's name is "TombstonE" this applies to all cs servers whether its css/cs:cz/1.6 so you just search that hostname in gametiger and do what i said before in this thread.... rofl nice shit.. next time u feel borred, try setting "sv_airaccelerate -999999" and watch ppl go nuts with worldspawn lol yea, and with sv_gravity 110 they'd be flyin all over the map and then i could change the gravity to like 10000 and they'd drop dead lol

January 27, 200520 yr Author hehe does anyone have any tips to narrow down the search? if you notice irrelevant info in your search like things about 'how to setup server.cfg' add -setup or -how that would exclude those words from your search This is really cool, did the tombstone server change their rcon password? yea the admin changed the rcon password Getting program now and installing , jusst some questions after u type in the rcon password u can do anything as if ur where the admin of the server ;) ! if you have the rcon password you're able to do about anything to the server, including changing the rcon password, mapchangecfgfile etc you just need to know the correct commands like if you want to change the rcon password do 'rcon_password "newpasshere"' in the console section of rcon in hlsw.
