February 2, 200520 yr $500.00+ is a felony, well in my state anyway Petty larceny is stealing items under $100 in value. Larceny is between $100-$999. Grand larceny is $1000+. Oh, and this is a federal law, not state.

My friend got his GT performer (a freestyle bmx bike) stolen which was over $500.00 and the guy who stole it was charged with a felony. Not that i dont agree with whatever you said im just going by what happend.
