Posted February 2, 200520 yr After I saw nobeltypes link of the day, I checked out some of the other videos on that website and I found this. http://littlemidgets.com/detail.php?type=2&content=1599&cf= is pretty crazy how its still alive, I think someone should throw it against the wall and free it from its misery, how will it look like at age 25 or something ? Really amazing to watch "Harlequin Babies "Few congenital birth defects are as disturbing to the eyes (and souls) of its witnesses than Harlequin Ichthyosis - commonly known as Harlequin Fetus. In this rare genetic disorder, which occurs in 1 in 300,000 births, babies are born with a massive horny shell of dense platelike scales and contraction abnormalities of the eyes, ears, mouth and appendages. Basically, wherever a fold would normally occur in a newborn baby, these poor souls have cracks." The condition was first documented in South *****ina by Reverend Oliver Hart: "On Thursday, April ye 5, 1750, I went to see a most deplorable object of a child, born the night before of one Mary Evans in 'Chas'town. It was surprising to all who beheld it, and I scarcely know how to describe it. The skin was dry and hard and seemed to be cracked in many places, somewhat resembling the scales of a fish. The mouth was large and round and open. It had no external nose, but two holes where the nose should have been. The eyes appeared to be lumps of coagulated blood, turned out, about the bigness of a plum, ghastly to behold. It had no external ears, but holes where the ears should be. The hands and feet appeared to be swollen, were cramped up and felt quite hard. The back part of the head was much open. It made a strange kind of noise, very low, which I cannot describe. It lived about forty-eight hours and was alive when I saw it." "Most babies born with this condition die within the first few hours or days after birth from the undernourishment caused by the rigidity of the lips, and underventilation and pneumonia because of respiratory distress. Abnormal water loss through the skin and poor temperature regulation lead to risk for infection beginning in the skin as well. " http://www.benhaus.com/images/harlequin.jpg We'll I guess is not gonne stay alive for long, I still wonder how it will look like when is 23 so here is a photoshop i made trying to get a accrurate mental picture http://img145.exs.cx/img145/5301/11113co.jpg Pimping it, noone can resist the charms and awsome personality of a Harlequin baby http://img152.exs.cx/img152/5839/people6ul.jpg Cooking you dinner, the Harlequin baby knows what you like, even tho he will never be able to taste the food. http://img152.exs.cx/img152/7044/more20people20at20banquet8tg.jpg Having good times with his family Harlequin baby always up for the good times. http://img152.exs.cx/img152/2140/gangoffive00010nh.jpg Harlequin baby always chilling and saying the right things at the right time. good times for the Harlequin baby !

February 2, 200520 yr They should let 2 grow up and film them in a reality type show and call it an unscripted E.T.
February 2, 200520 yr that thing should be killed. congenital birth defects (pleasant way of saying "mutatation") is natrues way of thinking about evolution thus it trys new things (like more fingers legs or in this case a cupcke face). if it cant live as easily as a normal baby then its a fucked up experiment that needs to be terminated.
February 2, 200520 yr yeah usually when that happens they call it the "demon baby" it happens very little around the world... kind of sick
