This is sort of lame, but it works, can be used to cheat, and shows how stupid VALVe is, which is the only reason we're posting it:

Although this works with any memory editing software, we are going to be using GameWiz32 which you find here:

http://www.gw32.de/english.html

Once you have that installed, start CS:S as normal, but do not start GW32 yet. When CS:S is loaded, open your console and set sv_cheats to any unique value such as "sv_cheats 31337".

Once you do this, minimize and start GW32, select "Counter-Strike Source" as the game to edit, then in the search field, type in the value "31337". Now, to verify we have the correct hex value, we do this again. Maximize CS:S and change sv_cheats to a new unique value, such as "sv_cheats 666". Once again, minimize back to your desktop and inside GW32 enter in the value "666" in to the search field, this time it should find the correct hex value for sv_cheats. Now just freeze this value, go back in to CS:S, join an internet server, and you can use commands which sv_cheats enabled for you, such as the debug panel (Shift+F1) and any mat_ commands and the like.

This would be very easy to do as a trainer so you wouldn't need to find the value and freeze it by hand each time, but like I said before it's not some great hack, at the most wall hack and few other things. But, it really shows the lack of protection VALVe put in to this game, which is no new knowledge to anyone who's played it since release or Beta.

Edit:

I wanted to add this URL as some of you might find it usefull while playing around. While there may be a few mistakes in it, it's a pretty accurate list of cheat/debug cvars in CS:S, anyways: http://goozeman.game-deception.com/misc/CSS_Cheat_CVar_list.txt

yeah this is like the most obvious way to modify a game, retarted that valve didn't try to secure that shit

i've done this a while ago and tried to get "noclip 1" to work... makes you fly around during rounds like a spectator... i couldn't get it to work. if anyone can do it, post it here.... will fuck up servers hard.

nope i tried to get gravity to work awhile ago but it didnt, as far as i know i think you can only affect things like visuals and stuff on the client side that doesnt affect other players directly.
im pretty positive that most of the sv_cheat cmds you can use are client side.
really nice. Tried it and it allowed me to use rcon commands. Great shit.
Just look at some old posts in the News section here to find some nice things you can do with the debug menu. The debug menu wasn't covered by sv_cheats at first, so myg0t already experimented with it, so they wrote some stuff about it already.

Half way through reading that I was hoping it was going to say 'now set sv_cheats 1 and you can use any commands including god'

Pity... :poke:

Faggot, my mom was right there lol.

you could use this or you could use nick's (fat idiot that works for valve)'s own thing that does the same much faster.

u can use "setpos" i didnt know that. awsome idea to start the round and immediatly beam to somewhere on the map.

hmm maybe i will work on this.

lol, that would be interesting to see nimrod, ive got the code for a working memory patcher for this, if you want to take a look at it let me know.

i keep getting 'Sorry, no entries found...' in the gamewiz32.

any ideas?

kill self, fuck body?

Source crashes before it hits the server using nimrods. Same occurs with the other method. Have valve patched it out?
