February 19, 200520 yr uhhh yeah i do.... C is chosen over C++...therefore, they rather teach you C in school then C++...(not sure about other schools) Nowadays, most schools seem to teach Java... I was lucky enough to take C++ while I was still in high school. But now that I'm at a tech college, I have to take classes on ASP, MSSQL and Java. (which blows since I know PHP, MySQL, and C/C++ already :\ like I don't have enough Microsoft shit in my life already)

IBM almost immediately licensed him to create IBM-DOS, the first operating system ever. however in their foolish business failure the contract was not exclusive so Bill Gates turned around and sold and identical version named MS-DOS to all the IBM clone companies sitting in the wings. then xerox invented the mouse and they GUI which Apple bought from them. then Bill Gates decides to slap a GUI on top of MS-DOS and born was windows. NOTE: even now windows XP is still nothing but a GUI running off DOS another NOTE: I just woke up so I probably misspelled everything, so xkuse teh axidentil mizpelingz

XP was based on the NT kernel, and thus doesn't run on top of dos. DOS on is called a VDM and runs on top of the kernel, and doesn't have direct access to hardware (hardware is access through a Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL)).
