In the times when the commandments were handed down, marriage wasn't a legal contract, but a social condition...infact the early irish Christians had 9 "degrees" of marriage codified in their society, the first degree of which defined the obligations you had for a casual bed partner...you were automatically "married" in a first degree marriage by the act of fucking someone. And once again, with SIGNIFIGANTLY less than half the population being these teenage "emos", even if half of them are fucking like bunnies outside marriage, it doesn't support your original statement about hypocracy.
