As for American, that’s not a language, we speak English....some just speak with accents. There are many butchered versions of English, but not different languages.

Trust me, mate, they all speak "English", but the dialects differ so much that they really do amount to different languages with difficulties in "translation" Come to think of it, the same can be said of most geographically seperated dialects...Canadian French is almost completely unrelated to Parisan French, and neither can understand Haitian French....
