If you look closely you could see the scissors have penetrated the skin, there is no bleeding, however after about 10 minutes that area will hemmorhage. Also if you don't think scissors cant penetrate solid objects, try throwing a pair at dry wall.

March 22, 200520 yr No joke,But recently me and my friend were arguing over an item of mine that was broken by him..and I got really pissed off.He was laying on the bed talking to his g/f..and I reached behind me and garbbed the first thing I found..and threw it at him...Guess what I grabbed?A closed knife..It opening in air and stuck 3/4 an inch into his hip/ass cheek moving upwards.I looked at it and was like freaking out..he thought it was awesome.He called his mom and told her he tripped into the corner of my comp desk(sharp corners).He still thinks it was funny,but was scared at first.The left side of his bnoxers were soaked in blood,but he stopped bleeding immediately.

I think it's real, considering the way the guy that got stabbed reacted to the scissors in his arm, probably in disbelief of what had just happened, and in such wounds the nerve endings are crushed or severed disabling the synapses ability to send impulses to the brain. After a while he will feel a dull pain, but that's pretty much it. Also, the velocity at which the other guy threw the scissors could have easily penetrated skin.
