Posted March 24, 200520 yr heh I'm known as Stalli0n/TonyLech4 (my forum username + password was randomly generated using a qbasic program I wrote) Yeah so I toyed with myg0t a little on the Counter-hack forums. They added my public email address (a gmail account) to spam lists (see pic), and signed into my AIM account. It kind of suprised me, I was just online and I got the "username signed on it two locations" message. Well... yeah you all know. Myg0t, I've got respect for you all (though, not for 75% of your wannabes). You succcessfully reminded me of some basic rules: 1) Never put your email address on a website 2) Never use the same password for everything 3) Never use a weak password 4) Never f@#$ with myg0t Anyways, if anyone has trouble with rule #3, I changed all my passwords using a little qbasic program I wrote. PM me if you're interested in it. ----- Also, I was given that exploit last night, and emailed valve about it (no, not actually how to do it, just what it did). They informed me (via an email account you don't know) that they actually have 1/more people idle in your irc channel and monitor it when something's up. Just thought you'd like to know. I get the point, btw. Follow rule #4 gg, myg0t.

March 24, 200520 yr LOL. Nice post, mate...good job at NOT gettign raged when you got pwned. BETTER job at recognizing what you did to make it possible. Most people never figure that aspect out. We're aware of the Valve idlers...I personally think it's funny that they regard a bunch of ragers as enough of a "threat" to be worth PAYING people to monitor us, after all, all myg0t does is use exploits to piss people the hell off. They'd be better off actually monitoring the people who spend their time finding the exploits, and constructing things to take advantage of them. Instead they ignore THOSE folks, even when they're kind enough to inform them of such an exploit BEFORE constructing and publishing something that will take advantage of it. Shows Valve's values system, doesn't it? They could give a fuck less that they release buggy code full of exploits to the public, they could give a fuck less that SOME of these exploits open player's systems to full ionvasion...what they care about is that a bunch of people interested in pissing people off can use SOME of these exploits to do so, which makes SOME customers to stop playing. As for the folks throwing the random insults....guys, THIS is one of the few people I've seen who actually gets the point I'm trying to get across when I rage someone...I can only piss you off if YOU do something that makes it possible. I can only "pwn the shit" out of someone who leaves me the opening, somehow. Instead of getting pissed off, he realized what he'd done to give the opening, and tried to fix it. He deserves props for being at least THAT bright, even if he was dumb enough to make it possible in the first place...it's more than most of you could do.

March 24, 200520 yr you don't need a school to learn better languages...plenty of coder's forums out there. As a student, you can pick up visual studio.NET for about $250...most user-friendly SDK I've found. You can get SUN's java SDK free, and a C/C++ SDK free with any linux install (which can also be collected for free). The resources are out there for anyone who wants to learn...if you have the interest, then get to work :) PM if you want links to the free Java SDK and linux installs, to get started. I could probably also link a few other "learning" resources.
