When a cheat infraction is detected, the offender will be permanently banned from playing on secure servers  So I'm assuming that the cheats will not work on regular servers, but may work on servers not regulated by Valve or that are open to the public.

March 26, 200520 yr i dont think vac scans your computer, but i think it scans your folder, BUT if it does then im thinking a harddrive spoofer would come in handy. BTW this could be some bullshit just to help valve buy sometime before the real release. I mean, they said sometime next week the beta will begin. ok? then i work on the beta for awhile. because we all know it will be shitty, what isnt shitty that valve releases, after 1213131 updates maybe not but yea.
March 26, 200520 yr if it scans your folders, it hsould only be allowed to scan your valve folder which ALL hacks now, are to be placed anywhere but valve...also the beta should make you download something so i could just cancel download n exit my hacks first b4 i play
