that shit is 1/4 inch or more thick and it is not impractical for city driving i want to know why you think that ? i get 15 miles a gallon so gass is not a problem and its pratically a smaller suv and are suvs impractical ?

- gass

- insurance

- whole new set of front gauages speedo, tac, gass, water ect

and i am saving for a all aluminium raditor, fule injection, and 5 speed tranny

APC...I can't disagree, that toyo is a decent little mudbogger, and more reliable than the jeeps it resembles....

 

however, given my druthers, I'd have spent the money on a 66-74 Ford Bronco, with a 351 V-8 or a 360 straight 6 in it (the six gives more torque, and you can't kill the damned things, but they're low on HP)

 

15MPG is pretty bad for a 350 at highway on a small lightweight 4 by...might want to start tinkering with timing and carb adjustments...

 

as far as your definition of a "real car"..fiberglass is used on kit cars now...they use plastic, pressed aluminum, and other lightweight materials now...that beemer may do alot worse than your "truck" in a minor accident (body panels that crinkle alot easier at lower speeds), but it'd do better than you expect in a major crash...I've seen 500 series beemers driveable after clipping another car and then the wall at speeds in excess of 100 MPH on the track..but they needed MASSIVE cosmetic work at extreme expense...

it is actully not that bad i know its not perfect but it also has a 3 speed tranny so at 65 its at 2800 rpms but when i get my 5 speed in their i can probally do 85 at that

ONE GALLON OF AN UNRENEWABLE RESOURCE WAS BURNED AND SHOT INTO THE ATMOSPHERE SO YOU CAN GO TO SCHOOL.

 

And a 350 crate chevy isn't even eligible to the title of "bad on gas", compared to some other engines. unless it's fucked up and put onto a 3 speed auto (which by the way is a retarded transmission gearing).. probably like 1.5 rear end.
