A friend of my family owns a bowling alley and they have gotton a touchtunes digital jukebox, they just brought in a external hard drive in a metal case with 300,000 new songs, now the hard drive is mounted on a wall but the only cable going out of it besides the power cable is a cat-5 cable into the jukebox, the guy who owns the alley said if i wanted i could come in and try to get the songs off it. btw he doesnt own the jukebox, its a company he just gets a percentage of what it makes so he cant service it. anyways, i was wondering if any of you knew if it was possible to get songs off of it through the cat5 cable. Cuz if i do get these songs off im putting as many as i can fit on my webhost and ill give you guys the link and password to em for helping me out. if any of you know if this is possible please lemme kno

thanks

because its a digital jukebox with 300,000 songs, and new songs/albums are downloaded everyday. it has all new and old shit, if it is an nas box i guess i have to hook up my computer and the nas box to the router and see if i can acess it, i just hope it isnt passworded cuz them me = fucked,

NAS = Network Area Storage Box - its like a hard drive but for a network, and i cant jackhammer it open cuz its not mine and what im gonna try to do is illegal neways lol

Why would you go that way to get music when you can dl it for free without worry of the FBI coming after you for tampering with a private corperations networked hd?

You have no information on what software it's running either, so have fun pluging your macintosh into it just to find out it's not a giant I-pod.

My advice? Do some actual research on the company, the product, and the software it uses. You might realize it's too much trouble/impossible for what you want to do to it. You always want good intel if you have to break the law. :naughty:
