Its a simple circle and vector one no, i'm saying it WAS rendered then put onto a black background. i can tell because his hair has a few round holes on it's edges from the first rendering job on it. i also rendered this elite in my sig...i'd say a pretty decent job on it too.

Just magic wand to remove the black, and use that. Renders arent always perfect, and quite often you have to cut it out yourself more after a render. Also, you don't even have to render an image to use it. Ya kthnx
