January 15, 200718 yr I had 2GB in my desktop, never even got close to maxing it. Windows simply isn't built to use that much or more memory, Linux however is. But, if you run Linux you'll have gaming issues (either running an emulator named WINEX/Cedega, or not getting games at all). So in practice 2GB is really the top end.
January 15, 200718 yr i would rather get a 8800gts, its like 500. or if ur gonna get a 7950 get evga so later on u can upgrade to those newer cards and only pay da difference
